  1. Sir,

After reading your book Host Resources Deep Dive, I had a question regarding memory allocation and optimization. Is there a performance penalty for extending the memory beyond 1 dimm in a channel? For example if I have Cisco B200 M4’s and I have 32GBs of ram in each dimm slot, but I have a VM with 34 GBs of memory configured, will this degrade VM performance? Or does the numa node account for this behavior?
